Chapter 3:
In this chapter we learned a lot about legal issues and avoiding legal hassles. The first thing that caught my eye in the chapter was “misappropriation of personality.” This simply is when people use other people names or images without permission. Most of the time this only happens to celebrities or people in the spot light. I found that this use to happen a lot more but now with celebrities staying on top of their game this happens less and less each year. This interest me because it is fascinating that people still do this knowing it’s illegal. Also, I liked all the copyright rules we were introduced to because I feel these can come in hand and make sure we don’t break any of the laws knowingly. I feel that sometimes copywriting can be a thin line and, knowing the rules can be very helpful. Also interesting to me is how employers can monitor your e-mails. This is something important to know, because sometimes I feel if people were aware about the monitoring they probably would not share stuff not intended to be shared.
